Founded in 1973 in Florence, LdM has long been recognized as a top academic institution in Italy. In the mid 2000s, LdM expanded its locations, and with that, the Tuscania campus was born.
The small town embraces the students of this program, which allows you to be easily immersed into the culture.

'I was born and raised in Paris, and I came to Tuscania over 40 years ago. Working at the school gives me the opportunity to share my Tuscanian life experience with students. “My role as student advisor is very rewarding; students all get very close to the local people and to the town itself.'
A great story: Tuscania has an active archaeological site. Past students, while digging, uncovered an ancient Etruscan mirror worth over a million Euros!

Time traveling back to a simpler time. That’s what Tuscania’s like, and it’s incredible.
The city walls call back to a previous royal era, the town’s 7th century church is still in use, and the population of 8,000 brings a sense of community that you didn’t know still existed. It’s absolutely charming. Also, Tuscania is not far from Rome, as this medieval town is nestled in the Italian hillside about an hour and 20 minutes north of the capital city.
A place that has inspired artists for centuries, Tuscania has developed a reputation for new artistic forms of expression including film, art, architecture, and more.
Filmmakers such as Orson Welles have used Tuscania as a backdrop for their movies.
The main church in Tuscania is over 1,300 years old and is still actively in use. If it ain’t broke...
