This week was pretty normal as it was full of classes and homework. This weekend was a free weekend for me, so my roommate and I decided to book tickets to Brussels, Belgium. We got in Friday night and stayed until Monday night, as we both do not have classes on Mondays! We spent all of Saturday adventuring all over Brussels. We started by going to the Grand Place which was absolutely beautiful. We eventually wandered to the Royal Palace of Brussels. We got fries and waffles as our “lunch” which is a must in Belgium as that is what they are known for along with mussels which were really good too! I can’t forget about the chocolate! I love chocolate, and it was the best I have ever had. We walked around all day and we saw everything we had on our list. Because of this, we decided to take a day trip on Sunday. We took the train to Bruges and Ghent. They were both beautiful places and we really enjoyed them both. In Bruges, we decided to do the canal tour which was amazing. After exploring these two cities, we came back to Brussels and saw the Grand Place at night which is really cool to see. Monday we picked up last minute souvenirs before we left that night.  It was a busy weekend full of adventuring and site seeing (and eating!), but I really enjoyed going to Belgium and exploring other cities instead of just staying in Brussels the whole time.
