Week 1 in Dublin

Beautiful Ireland

I arrived in Dublin early in the morning on Monday. Since then my life has felt like a dream! I was so nervous to go through customs in Ireland, but it went smoothly and almost as soon as I walked into the arrivals area, I ran into the volunteers from Griffith College. Once we got to Griffith, we got our room assignments and moved in. Then we met our adviser, Olwyn. She is so sweet and helpful and recommended lots of great places around Dublin to explore. We walked around Dublin, and although overwhelming at first, I now feel like I have a good grasp of the city around me.

In the streets of Dublin

Already I have met so many wonderful people and made amazing friends. Dublin is amazing in that you can walk up to almost anyone and they would be more then happy to help you. One waiter at a Cafe we went to even offered to write down places around Dublin that we should check out!

Until next time!!
