Istituto Venezia was founded in the 90s as the only school in Venice designed to teach Italian as a second language and, as such, has a very diverse student population.
The school is located in Campo Santa Margherita, a historic square in the center of Venice. It is in close proximity to other institutions within the "university area," and is just ten minutes from the bus terminal (Piazzale Roma) and fifteen minutes on foot from the train station.
The square serves as a meeting place for students and residents who go shopping in the beautiful stores of the area or take a break to have a chat and drink in the open-air cafés.
The school's edifice is a historical building with a wide welcoming terrace. All students have free access to internet points, a self-access study room with video facilities (where they can watch films from the video collection of the school), and WiFi internet connection.
