HOUSING

A quaint Tuscanian road.
  • Housing options include apartments and homestays.
  • Many of the housing locations are within the historic town center. All accommodation options are within walking distance of the Institute's building and classrooms.

Apartments

  • Double-occupancy bedrooms are included in the program fee; a few single-occupancy rooms are available at an extra cost.
  • Kitchen and bathroom are usually to be shared with other students.
  • A common living area is included in most every apartment

Homestays

  • Living in a family offers a good opportunity to acquire a deeper understanding of Italian culture.
  • A portion of your meals will be covered if you choose to do a homestay.
  • By choosing this type of accommodation, students should accept some restrictions and respect certain rules.
  • Athena recommends the family stay to students who are very interested in learning Italian language and to those who are motivated about deepening their knowledge of Italian culture and family structure. On the other hand, Athena/LdM does not recommend this type of housing arrangement to those students who want to be independent and free from family rules and restrictions.
