On-Campus Accommodations

  • Your program cost includes utilities including heating, lighting, water and internet connection, as well as contents insurance
  • Room furniture varies but all rooms include a single bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, shelving and sink.
  • Kitchen equipment includes cooker/stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and food storage space.
  • Common areas will be cleaned by domestic staff, but students are expected to clean their own rooms and kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery.
  • An internal phone is available in each flat or corridor.
  • Laundry facilities are available at all Colleges.
  • Athena's London students receive a kitchen and bedding pack that include cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, duvet, sheets, duvet cover and pillow slip. A mattress cover and pillow will also be provided. International students also receive a University-approved fused electrical adaptor.
  • The Roehampton campus is a safe place to live, and has the added security of a 24-hour security staff present on campus. Security staff have a special emergency extension (3333) should you need to reach them.

Tower of London
Take a guided tour with one of the Yeoman Warders around one of the most famous fortified buildings in the world. Discover its 900 year history as a royal palace and fortress, prison and place of execution, mint, arsenal, zoo and jewel house.

National Gallery
The National Gallery showcases one of the greatest collections of European paintings in the world. The collection includes works by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Turner, Cezanne and Van Gogh.

London Eye
Europe's tallest Ferris wheel offers breathtaking views of London from high above the River Thames. Famous landmarks to be seen include Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, St. Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey.

Hyde Park
Spanning over 350 acres, London's most famous park offers something for everyone. Enjoy a walk around the lake, rent a boat or go swimming, join a pick-up game of cricket, relax over a picnic lunch, or even go horseback riding. Its central location draws people in from every walk of life making Hyde Park one of the most colorful and captivating green spaces in London.

British Museum
Proving that at one time the sun never set on the British Empire, the British Museum is home to over seven million cultural artifacts drawn from all over the world, brought together to tell the story of human cultures from prehistory to present day. Some of the world's most famous antiquities, including the Rosetta Stone, Portland Vase, and Elgin Marbles, are housed here.

Westminster Abbey
Steeped in more than a thousand years of history, Westminster Abbey welcomes more than one million visitors every year to explore its rich history as England's coronation church and final resting place of seventeen monarchs.

Globe Theatre
Enjoy a magical performance of one of Shakespeare's plays in a setting intended to recreate the look, feel, and sound of Shakespearean London.

Live like a true Londoner and frequent the many vibrant markets throughout the city to do your shopping. Chat with the locals while shopping for everything from fresh foods and exotic spices to retro clothing and original handcrafted art.
